Nigerian President Bola Tinubu has left Akwa Ibom State for Rivers to attend an APC campaign rally for the 2027 presidential election. His arrival in Port Harcourt follows a rally held in Akwa Ibom, Daily Post Nigeria reports.

Bola Tinubu, Nigeria’s president and All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the 2027 presidential election, has left Akwa Ibom State for Rivers State, where he is due to attend a presidential campaign rally, according to Daily Post. APC supporters had already gathered in the streets of Port Harcourt ahead of his arrival.

Nyesom Wike, Nigeria’s Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, and Sim Fubara, governor of Rivers State, were already in the state for the presidential visit, according to Daily Post. Tinubu spent Friday in Akwa Ibom for a campaign rally, where he also approved the Ibom Deep Seaport project and inaugurated other projects.

The trip to Rivers follows Tinubu’s approval of the Ibom Deep Seaport on 6 November, as the Nigerian president continues his activities ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
