Paul Ibe, media aide to Atiku Abubakar, asks Bola Tinubu to withdraw from his 2027 presidential bid after a video appeared to show the president losing his balance after a rally in Akwa Ibom. Ibe questions his ability to withstand another campaign, in a post on X.

Paul Ibe, media aide to Atiku Abubakar, the African Democratic Congress (ADC)'s candidate for the 2027 Nigerian presidential election, has asked President Bola Tinubu to withdraw from seeking a second term after a video appeared to show the head of state losing his balance as he left a rally in Akwa Ibom State. In a post on his X account, Ibe questioned Tinubu's ability to withstand the demands of another campaign and serve a second term.

Paul Ibe asked Remi Tinubu, the president's wife, and Seyi Tinubu, his son, to advise him to withdraw from the 2027 presidential race. He said the video sequence raised a question about Bola Tinubu's fitness to lead another campaign and called on those close to him to give him, in his words, honest counsel.

The video shows Bola Tinubu appearing to stagger as he heads towards his convoy after the presidential rally in Akwa Ibom. Its circulation on social media has raised questions about his physical condition and ability to continue meeting the demands of the presidency, according to the Daily Post.
