Abdulaziz Yari, director-general of the Nigerian APC’s presidential campaign, says the party is relying on Bola Tinubu’s record to secure his re-election in January 2027. He promises to present the government’s achievements and convince voters, according to a statement from his campaign office cited by Punch.

Abdulaziz Yari, director-general of the Presidential Campaign Council of the APC, the party of Nigerian President Bola Tinubu, said the party would rely on the head of state’s record to secure his re-election in January 2027. He announced a campaign aimed at presenting the administration’s achievements and convincing voters, according to a statement from the council’s media team cited by Punch.

Yari made the comments in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, where he was accompanying Tinubu and other officials for Umrah. He also said the election outcome would depend on God’s will, while calling on party members to pray and carry out campaign work among the population.

The statement comes as several officials and organisations have recently voiced support for Tinubu’s candidacy. Governors in south-east Nigeria notably called for his re-election on 1 November, in an appeal to re-elect Tinubu.
