Egypt is piloting self-service kiosks allowing investors to obtain and print several certified documents themselves, 24 hours a day. The system was announced by Mohamed Farid, Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, on the sidelines of his participation in Cairo at Cairo ICT 2026, in the presence of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, reports Daily News Egypt.
The ministry is also developing a platform dedicated to capital increase procedures and an economic entities platform. Mohamed Farid also announced preparations to amend the executive regulations of the companies law to expand the use of digital technologies for certain services for investors, with the aim of removing repeated procedures and requirements for documents deemed excessive, according to Daily News Egypt.
The launch of the kiosks implements recommendations from the Egypt Forum 2026 on continuing the digitalisation of public services. The ministry plans to expand access channels for investment services to allow investors to complete procedures outside administrative hours and at different stages of setting up and operating a company, according to Mohamed Farid.
The initiative is part of the ministry’s plan to develop electronic services and simplify procedures related to setting up and operating companies. Mohamed Farid believes the kiosks should reduce the time and effort required to access documents and services, according to Daily News Egypt.
