The customer-relations industry employs thousands of young people and weighs on Morocco's service exports.
Moroccan offshoring had 148,500 stable jobs and had generated 26.22 billion dirhams in service exports at the end of 2024, according to the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration Reform. These figures cover offshoring as a whole, notably customer-relations centres, IT activities, data processing and outsourced administrative services.
Morocco hosts more than 1,200 companies in this ecosystem, located notably in Casablanca, Rabat, Mohammedia, Fès, Tangier and Marrakech. The sector employs a large workforce fluent in foreign languages and provides services to clients located notably in France and Belgium, according to the ministry.
The renewal of the Offre Offshoring Maroc, presented at a meeting held in Rabat on 28 January 2026, comes as the sector faces competition from other African countries, new French regulations, digital transformation and tensions in social dialogue.
