Eight new school transport buses have been handed over to the Tahfiz Local Development Company in Fquih Ben Salah to facilitate pupils’ travel, particularly in rural areas. The vehicles were donated by OCP Group and will support the management of provincial school transport, according to MAP.

Eight school transport buses were handed over on Friday to the “Tahfiz” Local Development Company (SDL) to strengthen transport for around 17,500 pupils in the province. The vehicles, donated by OCP Group and transferred to the company via the Provincial Council, are intended in particular to improve service to rural and hard-to-reach areas, according to MAP.

The director general of the “Tahfiz” SDL, Othmane Mennaoui, told MAP that the company will manage school transport under a new management model approved by the Ministry of the Interior. The eight vehicles will complement a fleet recovered from councils and associations, which the SDL will now manage.
