Nigerian pastor Jimmy Odukoya introduced Pastor Mo Odukoya to his congregation during the 1 November service in Lagos, according to P.M. News, Bénin Web TV and Punch. The introduction took place at the headquarters of Fountain of Life Church in Ilupeju, after a post showing two wedding rings. Jimmy Odukoya married Oluwakemi Banjoko in London in 2013; they had two children before separating, according to Premium Times Nigeria, P.M. News and Punch.

The introduction of Pastor Mo Odukoya was broadcast on Fountain of Life Church’s official Facebook page from the church’s headquarters in Ilupeju, Lagos State. She briefly greeted the congregation, while Jimmy Odukoya accompanied her to the stage to applause, according to Bénin Web TV and Punch. The pastor explained that he had remained single for a period after taking over leadership of the church, before finding his new partner, Punch reports.

Before the announcement, Jimmy Odukoya played an instrumental track and performed a few dance steps. Referring to the post showing two wedding rings that was uploaded the previous day with the caption “To New Beginnings”, he said: “This is not an artistic work […] this is my wife,” according to Punch. Pastor Mo Odukoya said she was happy to join Fountain of Life Church and stand alongside her husband. Punch describes her as the daughter of Reverends Titus Daniel and Bolaji Daniel.

Tunde Bakare, Jimmy Odukoya’s maternal uncle and head of Citadel Global Community Church, prayed for the couple with his wife, Olayide. He said he knew about the difficulties faced by the church, prayed for the late pastor’s parents to rest in peace and asked for the protection and growth of Fountain of Life Church, according to Punch. Bakare also said that the couple had married in the United States, without specifying the date.

Jimmy Odukoya took over as head of Fountain of Life Church in 2023 after the death of his father, Taiwo Odukoya, who co-founded the church with Bimbo Odukoya. He is also an actor and notably played Oba Ade in the film The Woman King, released in 2022, Bénin Web TV recalls.
