Iran displays death threat against Donald Trump in Tehran

Iran has put up a huge billboard in Tehran displaying the threat “We will kill Trump”, with the US president depicted behind bars. Similar banners were displayed on 3 November, as rally participants called for revenge after Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed in US-Israeli strikes on 28 February, AFP reports.

Iran put up billboards in Tehran on 3 November pledging to kill US President Donald Trump, including a large display in Enghelab Square depicting him behind bars, according to AFP.

Another billboard shows Trump, US Vice-President JD Vance, special envoy Steve Witkoff and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with bloodied faces. Dozens of people gathered in the square, waving red flags and carrying banners calling for revenge after the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Khamenei was killed on 28 February in US-Israeli strikes that triggered the war in the Middle East. Diplomatic efforts are under way to restart negotiations between Washington and Tehran. Donald Trump said on Tuesday that a deal “could happen”, AFP reports.

In Tehran, an outdoor exhibition in the Tajrish district also features images of a wounded Trump and a replica cell in which an actor portrays him. Iran accuses the US president of deliberately targeting civilian sites during the war, including a school and a wedding ceremony.
