Tucker Carlson claims Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wants Donald Trump to consider a nuclear strike against Iran because some underground facilities cannot be destroyed with conventional bombs. The claim, attributed by Carlson to US officials, has not been independently verified, according to Zambian Observer.

American conservative commentator Tucker Carlson claims Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wants US President Donald Trump to consider a nuclear strike against Iran. Carlson says he obtained the information from US officials, according to the Zambian Observer.

According to claims reported by Carlson, Benjamin Netanyahu is opposed to a conventional strike against Iran's nuclear facilities, notably the underground Pickaxe Mountain complex, because of the alleged difficulty of penetrating its reinforced granite formations. These allegations have not been independently verified, and there is no confirmed evidence that Donald Trump has been asked to authorise a nuclear strike.

The use of nuclear weapons against Iran could cause radioactive contamination, environmental destruction and risks to water resources in several areas of the region, according to the consequences discussed in the report. The claim comes after Trump considers resuming war against Iran on 6 November 2026 and refused to call the conflict with Iran a war on 7 November 2026.
