Mouhamadou Abib Diop, director general of the Société Africaine de Raffinage, criticised the blocking of the amended finance bill and the rejection of the first part of the 2027 budget. He called on the president of the Republic to take his responsibilities, at a ceremony in Mbacké, according to Seneweb.

Mouhamadou Abib Diop, director general of the Société africaine de raffinage (SAR), called on Saturday 7 November in Mbacké for a "patriotic awakening" in the face of the blocking of the examination of Senegalese budgets. He said the National Assembly had blocked the amended finance bill and that its finance committee had also just rejected the initial finance bill for 2027, according to Seneweb.

Abib Diop blamed the Pastef-Les Patriotes parliamentary group, which he accuses of putting one man's interests before those of the State. He also said that President Bassirou Diomaye Faye would "take his responsibilities" in the coming days to end the blocking, invoking the prerogatives conferred on him by the Constitution, according to Seneweb.
