Russian fighters from the Wagner group and their Central African auxiliaries were killed or wounded in an ambush by PRNC elements near Boromata, in Vakaga prefecture, Central African Republic. The leader of the auxiliaries, identified as Dogo, was among those wounded and suffered a serious leg injury, according to Corbeau News Centrafrique.

The attack was prepared after a young local man suspected of being a Wagner informant was intercepted. The rebels allegedly released him after beating him so that he would point out the location presented as the PRNC's position to the fighters. Wagner's men then travelled there on motorcycles and heavily armed before falling into the trap, according to Corbeau News Centrafrique.

The ambush took place in Vakaga prefecture after Wagner mercenaries occupied Boromata school, reported on 30 October. It is part of a series of incidents involving Wagner in the Central African Republic, including the abduction of two young people in Ndiffa, published on 29 October.
