Two young residents of Ndiffa, in Vakaga prefecture, were handcuffed and taken to Sikikédé by Russian mercenaries from the Wagner group on Tuesday 27 October 2026, according to Corbeau News Centrafrique.

Wagner fighters arrived in the morning on motorbikes and in military vehicles, after leaving their position in Sikikédé, about 45 kilometres from Ndiffa. They questioned the two young men about the presence of weapons before taking them away, despite their denials. Their fate and detention conditions remain unknown, reports Corbeau News Centrafrique.

Ndiffa is also 23 kilometres from Gordil and 35 kilometres from Tiringoulou, in the north-east of the Central African Republic. The operation took place on the same day as accusations that civilians had been stripped of their belongings in Sikikédé, reported by Wagner mercenaries in Sikikédé.
