Three people were killed and seven others injured in two separate crashes on the Sagamu-Ikorodu and Ota-Idiroko roads in Nigeria's Ogun State. Rescue teams treated the injured, some of whom were taken to Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital in Sagamu, according to Ogun's traffic enforcement agency.

Three people were killed and seven others injured in two road crashes in Ogun State, Nigeria, on Saturday, according to Babatunde Akinbiyi, spokesman for the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE), cited by Punch. The two crashes occurred on the Sagamu-Ikorodu route and the Ota-Idiroko road.

The first crash, which occurred at around 4.10pm near Kam Steel on the Sagamu-Ikorodu Expressway, involved a patrol van and a tricycle. One woman was killed and two other women were injured. The injured victims were taken to Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital in Sagamu, while the victim's body was taken to the morgue at the same facility, according to Babatunde Akinbiyi.

The second crash, at around 3.25pm in Agarawu, on the Ota-Idiroko road, involved a yellow Howo truck and a tricycle. Two people, a man and a woman, were killed and five others injured. According to the TRACE spokesman, brake failure caused the truck driver to lose control and hit the tricycle.

TRACE, the Federal Road Safety Corps and police teams intervened at both sites to restore traffic. The injured were taken to hospitals and the bodies were deposited in morgues in Sagamu and Ifo, according to Punch.
