Khafor Touré, an official of the Alliance for the Republic (APR), denounced late payments by the Senegalese state to its creditors and warned of possible effects on businesses, construction projects and jobs. The party is calling for a timetable to settle domestic debt, Seneweb reports.

The Alliance for the Republic (APR) is calling on the Senegalese government to publish a credible timetable for settling domestic debt owed to contractors. Khafor Touré, a party official, denounced the state’s late payments and their consequences for construction sites, businesses and jobs at a press conference reported by Seneweb.

The APR is also demanding a precise assessment of the impact of public economic and financial decisions on investment and employment. Khafor Touré said public-finance difficulties should be assessed beyond the deficit and growth, taking account of their direct effects on economic activity and workers, according to Seneweb.

The demand comes after the rejection of the 2026 supplementary finance bill on 24 October and the government’s statements on the 2026 revised budget, which it defended on 25 October.
