Nimba Mining Company has signed its accession to the agreement for the shared use of the Dapilon mining road, after the technical committee unanimously approved its document. Before using the infrastructure, the company must train its drivers, require protective equipment and identify its trucks, according to ANAIM, as reported by Africaguinee.

Nimba Mining Company (NMC) has joined the agreement for the shared use of the Dapilon mining road, after the technical committee responsible for the corridor unanimously approved its accession, according to the National Agency for Mining Infrastructure Development (ANAIM). The document was subsequently signed by the parties meeting in Conakry.

The accession extends to NMC the cooperation framework governing the management, operation and maintenance of the road, created by an agreement signed on 3 October 2025. Before using it, the company will in particular have to train and raise awareness among its drivers, identify its trucks, check administrative documents and drivers’ medical fitness, and verify the technical compliance of vehicles, including those belonging to subcontractors, according to ANAIM.

The technical committee also examined a draft schedule of penalties for violations of the corridor’s rules. It stressed accident prevention, compliance with speed limits and the use of geolocation and onboard monitoring. User companies must also regularise fees related to the use and maintenance of the road, while ANAIM plans to inform communities along the route and establish a complaints-handling mechanism.

The accession comes after the appointment of Nimba Mining Company’s management, announced on 24 October 2026. The agreement for the shared use of the Dapilon mining road was signed on 3 October 2025 by the companies already on the committee, including Dynamic Mining, Ashapura Minex, Winning Alliance Ports and CDM Chine.
