Falibra Group and SCF SA have signed an agreement with Hilton to build the 196-room DoubleTree by Hilton Conakry Kaloum on Conakry’s seafront. Its opening is scheduled for 2029 and will mark the hotel group’s arrival in Guinea, according to Guinéenews.

Falibra Group and SCF SA, which have joined forces in an economic interest grouping, have signed an agreement with Hilton to build the DoubleTree by Hilton Conakry Kaloum, a hotel with 196 rooms and suites scheduled to open in 2029. The project, announced by Hilton, will mark the US hotel group’s arrival in Guinea.

The establishment will be built on the site of the Grand Hôtel de l’Indépendance, on the Atlantic coast, in the Kaloum commune, Conakry’s administrative and business centre. It will include two restaurants, a café-bar, a poolside grill bar, an outdoor swimming pool, a spa, a gym and a tennis court, according to Hilton.

The future hotel is also due to host business meetings, private events and official delegations. Its proximity to ministries, the Central Bank of the Republic of Guinea, the Port of Conakry and the headquarters of major companies is intended to cater for business travellers and event participants, while the Loos Islands are nearby for boat excursions. Falilou Diallo, managing director of Falibra Group, said the project was expected to create jobs and training opportunities for Guinean hospitality professionals.
