The trial of Mandian Sidibé, former director-general of the Guinean Advertising Office (OGP), and two co-defendants is due to open on Friday 30 October 2026 before the trial chamber of the Court for the Repression of Economic and Financial Offences (CRIEF), in a case involving alleged wrongdoing amounting to 78 billion Guinean francs, Guinee360 reports.

Mandian Sidibé, Pépé Haba and accountant Aboubacar Sidiki Konaté are being prosecuted by the special prosecutor for embezzlement of public funds, abuse of office, corruption and alleged offences relating to public procurement, among other charges.

On 15 June 2026, the CRIEF trial chamber ordered Mandian Sidibé’s release on health grounds after more than a year in detention. He was placed under judicial supervision.

The hearing is part of a series of economic and financial proceedings being heard by the CRIEF. The trial of Mohamed Diané notably resulted in a decision on 15 October awarding 300 billion Guinean francs to the Guinean state.
