Argentine Inter Miami forward Lionel Messi wins the MLS Golden Boot with 26 goals, ahead of Petar Musa and Sam Surridge, becoming the first player to retain the award and the sixth to win it at least twice, according to Bénin Web TV.

Lionel Messi wins the MLS Golden Boot with 26 goals in 31 matches, four more than Dallas forward Petar Musa and five more than England's Sam Surridge of Nashville, according to Bénin Web TV. He becomes the first player in MLS history to win the trophy in two consecutive seasons, and the sixth to claim it at least twice.

The eighth Ballon d'Or winner also provided 17 assists, bringing his total attacking contributions to 43, the best in the league for the second consecutive year. He could soon make history by becoming the first player to win the Landon Donovan MVP award three times, after receiving it in 2024 and 2025.

Despite his performances, Inter Miami finished 17 points behind Nashville, leaders of the Eastern Conference. The club will face Columbus Crew in three matches in the first round of the MLS Cup play-offs, which begin later this month.
