Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou says his team must improve its attacking efficiency after a 1-0 win over Sekhukhune United in the Carling Cup quarter-finals. He wants better finishing before the Champions League group stage, according to Business Day.

Abdeslam Ouaddou, Orlando Pirates coach, believes the South African club must improve its attacking efficiency before the CAF Champions League group stage. After the 1-0 victory over Sekhukhune United on Saturday in the Carling Cup quarter-finals, he said his team could have scored five goals, according to Business Day.

Ouaddou said his players could have scored three or four times in the second half, while praising their qualification and second consecutive match without conceding a goal. He explained that finishing remained an area for improvement, as Pirates creates many chances, according to Business Day.

The victory over Sekhukhune United comes after Sekhukhune's 1-0 elimination in the Carling Cup, published on 7 November 2026. Orlando Pirates had also beaten African Stars 5-0 in the Champions League on 23 October 2026, before winning 3-0 against Milford on 28 October.
