Riyadh's King Abdullah Financial District was targeted on 8 November by a suspected attack by Houthi rebels from Yemen, with damage reported to a Saudi Aramco tower. The attack comes as Aramco's market capitalisation exceeds $1,680 billion, according to Financial Afrik.

Damage was reported to a tower of Saudi Aramco, the Saudi state oil company, in Riyadh's King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) after a suspected attack by Houthi rebels from Yemen on Sunday 8 November. Several witnesses reported the damage, Financial Afrik reports.

Saudi Aramco's market capitalisation exceeds $1,680 billion. The KAFD is one of the main real estate projects associated with Saudi Arabia's economic modernisation, according to Financial Afrik.

The attack comes the day after the announcement of the strengthening of the Saudi presence in Yemen by Syrian soldiers, as part of the cooperation between Riyadh and Damascus reported on 7 November.
