Krépin Diatta was injured in the 11th minute before leaving Watford-Middlesbrough three minutes later, putting his participation in Senegal’s upcoming matches in doubt. The squad gathers on 9 November ahead of matches against Sudan on 12 and 16 November, Senego reports.

Krépin Diatta, the Senegalese international winger at Watford, left the pitch early during Saturday’s match against Middlesbrough in the English Championship. Hurt in the 11th minute, he tried to continue the match after receiving treatment before being replaced in the 14th minute.

The injury comes just days before Senegal’s two matches against Sudan, scheduled for 12 and 16 November. The Lions’ squad is due to gather on Monday 9 November, after Diatta was recalled by coach Patrick Vieira. Defender Mamadou Sarr has already withdrawn from these fixtures. A further absence for Diatta would therefore deprive the coach of another option for the two matches.
