Tottenham lost 1-0 at Leeds in the Premier League, ending their run of three consecutive wins. Noah Okafor scored the decisive goal in the 79th minute, while Mathys Tel left the pitch injured before half-time, according to Seneweb.
Mathys Tel was forced to leave the pitch after a tackle by Jayden Bogle shortly after the half-hour mark. The Leeds defender escaped a red card after a lengthy VAR review, but the French forward injured his ankle and was replaced by Dominic Solanke.
Roberto De Zerbi refused to blame the defeat on the refereeing decision. The Tottenham manager said his team mainly needed to improve their performance and regretted a second half played without the right spirit, character and intensity needed in the challenges.
Daniel Farke welcomed Leeds’ first league win since September. The club’s manager insisted that Bogle had not deliberately sought to injure Tel, describing his defender as a player with no intention of causing harm.
