Mali’s armed forces struck six positions occupied by terrorist armed groups on 7 November, about 90 kilometres south of Kidal. Another terrorist position was hit the previous day near Ménaka, according to the General Staff of the Malian Armed Forces.

The Malian Armed Forces (FAMa) struck six positions occupied by groups described as terrorists about 90 kilometres south of Kidal, in northern Mali, on Saturday 7 November 2026. The General Staff of the Armed Forces said the targets, which had military equipment, were identified before the strikes through intelligence, according to Bamada.net.

The same surveillance operation had located a gathering of fighters about 50 kilometres south-west of Ménaka on Friday 6 November. This position was also struck after the target was confirmed, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces cited by Bamada.net.

The Malian army said reconnaissance operations are continuing in both areas to assess the effects of the strikes, establish a consolidated assessment and search for any remaining threats. Operation Dougoukoloko oversees these activities to monitor, control and secure the national territory, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
