Liberian lawyer Kunkunyon Wleh Teh has announced his intention to actively participate in Liberia’s 2029 political process, without specifying whether he plans to seek elected office, support a candidate or play another role. He also rejected any interpretation of his activities as support for an elected official, candidate or political group in River Gee County, according to a public statement by the lawyer.

Kunkunyon Wleh Teh says his immediate priorities remain community service, humanitarian aid and development initiatives in River Gee County. He says he wants to work with people and organisations whose values and projects serve the interests of residents, regardless of their political, tribal or local affiliations.

The lawyer said his willingness to work with different actors on community projects does not constitute a political alliance. He said his specific intentions for the 2029 presidential and legislative elections will be announced at a later date.
