The family of Ahmed Karoui, former president of Club Athlétique Bizertin (CAB), has offered to settle 700,000 dinars of the 1.4 million dinars owed by the club, accepting payment in instalments. Lawyer Yassine Younsi presented the proposal on 31 October on the programme “Samdi Sport”, according to La Presse de Tunisie.

The debt relates to expenses incurred by Ahmed Karoui for CAB while he was its president, between 2007 and 2009, plus legal costs and late-payment interest. His family says it is prepared to waive half the amount if the club’s officials contact it to reach an amicable settlement.
