The MESOB centre embodies this approach, presented by Fanamc as part of the transformation of public services led by the Medemer government.
Ethiopia is expanding MESOB public service centres, which bring several administrative procedures together in one place and rely on digital tools, Fanamc reported on 2 November 2026. The system aims to limit travel between government offices and simplify citizens’ access to services.
The initiative is based on a multiservice centre programme launched in 2017 according to the Ethiopian calendar. The Digital Ethiopia strategy also encourages electronic payment of administrative fees through platforms such as Telebirr, CBE Birr and online banking services. Fanamc presents these measures as ways to reduce separate procedures and the travel required to complete public administration formalities.
