Subscriptions for the Nigerian Dangote Refinery’s initial public offering close on Tuesday 27 October 2026, following a sharp rise in applications over the final 24 hours. The company, which extended the offer by two weeks, says there will be no further extension, Daily Post reports.

The public offering of shares in Nigeria’s Dangote Refinery closes on Tuesday 27 October, the company announced, according to Nigerian newspaper Daily Post. Subscriptions rose sharply in the 24 hours before the deadline, as investors rushed to take part in the offering.

The company said on Sunday that there would be no further extension and that subscriptions had to be finalised before closing. The offer opened on the Nigerian stock market on 14 September and had already attracted investors from Nigeria, nearly 51 African countries and other parts of the world.

The refinery had extended the deadline by two weeks, nearly two weeks before it was due, to give investors more time. For the nine months ended 30 September 2026, it reported revenue of $22.5 billion and net profit of $4.73 billion. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) reached $5.5 billion.

The deadline comes after the offer was described as likely to be oversubscribed on 24 October. The initial public offering launched on 14 September and aimed to raise 2.15 trillion naira, according to information published on 20 October.
