A video shows members of the Agaji volunteer wing of the Islamic movement Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa Iqamatus Sunnah singing calls for armed attacks on Christians in Enugu and Jos. The footage, shared on social media, has raised concerns in Nigeria, reports Daily Post.

A video circulating online shows members of the Agaji volunteer group, associated with the Nigerian Islamic organisation Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa Iqamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS), singing lyrics calling for attacks on residents of Enugu and Jos. Daily Post reports that the footage circulated on social media, including X, on Sunday.

In the footage, a man in uniform leads a chant about getting an AK-47 rifle to shoot people described as “infidels” as they pray in Enugu, and then in Jos. The lyrics present the attacks as training. The footage has raised concerns about possible violence targeting Christians in Nigeria.

The date and location where the video was recorded have not been established. The Agaji group is described as a volunteer branch of JIBWIS, an organisation known as Izala.
