Cameroon’s Eleventh Rapid Intervention Battalion (BIR 11) destroyed two armed-group camps in the Noaho forest during a second offensive. Several fighters were neutralised and others fled, while no incidents were reported among BIR ranks, Faso Times reports.

The soldiers recovered a PKMS machine gun, a homemade pistol, four belts of 100 PKMS rounds, three loaded AK-47 magazines, 13 phones and two TYT radio sets. They also destroyed two motorbikes and four bicycles, then burned food supplies, bedding and pharmaceutical products, according to Faso Times.

Five goat heads, documents and Quranic texts were also among the items found. The operation therefore affected the logistical resources of armed groups in the area, according to the same outlet.
