Central African State Minister for Justice Guillaume Ngefa says the final report of the General States of Justice was never approved and was rejected after objections. He therefore considers it impossible to implement the recommendations arising from the proceedings, according to Actualité.cd.

Central African State Minister for Justice Guillaume Ngefa has rejected the implementation of the final report of the General States of Justice organised under his predecessor Constant Mutamba Tungunga. He said the document had been contested and then rejected and therefore could not serve as a basis for implementing the recommendations, during a press briefing with government spokesman Patrick Muyaya, according to Actualité.cd.

Guillaume Ngefa said his ministry instead referred to the recommendations of the previous General States of Justice held under former minister Alexis Thambwe Mwamba. He also said that organising new proceedings should take into account changes in the national and international context as well as the new challenges facing the Democratic Republic of the Congo, according to Actualité.cd.
