Chinese President Xi Jinping held talks in Beijing on Friday with Gabonese President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, according to Visionguinee. The meeting closes a visit by the Gabonese head of state to China that began earlier in the week.
It comes the day after Oligui Nguema made a plea in Beijing for Chinese investment in housing and manganese, according to the same source. The Gabonese leader also visited a Chinese political memorial in Shanghai on 4 November.
The visit follows Oligui Nguema's meeting with Congolese President Denis Sassou Nguesso in Oyo on 2 November, and his call to convert the Chinese partnership into investments, launched on 3 November.
