The Border Management Authority (BMA), South Africa’s border management agency, has temporarily suspended operations at the Kopfontein border post between South Africa and Botswana after a spillage affected the operational area and a nearby residential sector. The decision is intended to protect travellers and officials, BMA commissioner Michael Masiapato said, according to IOL.

Travellers must use the Skilpadshek or Ramatlabama border posts until further notice, the BMA said.
