South African coach Mandla Qhogi and striker Senzo Ndlovu, members of Nsingizini Hotspurs, were named best coach and best player of the 2026 Ingwenyama Cup. The Eswatini club won the competition, which combines football and culture, for the first time, reports the Times of Eswatini.
Mandla Qhogi, South African coach of Nsingizini Hotspurs, was named the best coach of the 2026 edition of the Ingwenyama Cup, while his striker Senzo ‘Mbhobho’ Ndlovu received the tournament’s best player award. The Shiselweni club won this football competition organised in Eswatini for the first time, according to the Times of Eswatini.
Qhogi received a prize of 10,000 emalangeni and Ndlovu 15,000 emalangeni. The striker finished one goal short of the top scorer award, which ultimately went to Philani ‘Mkasabuli’ Mkhonta of Manzini Sea Birds. Qhogi attributed the distinctions to club president Derrick Shiba, his technical team, the players and the supporters.
The coach, a former coach of Orlando Pirates’ development team, also welcomed receiving his trophy directly from King Mswati III. Nsingizini Hotspurs had achieved a treble the previous season, making them a team now targeted by their opponents, according to Qhogi.
