Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei reportedly set seven conditions for Donald Trump to end the war, including unfreezing Iranian assets and withdrawing US forces from the region. The demands would also include ending strikes against Iran and lifting the naval blockade, reports the Zambian Observer.

Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei reportedly set seven conditions for former US President Donald Trump to end the war, according to the Zambian Observer. They include the immediate unfreezing of Iranian assets, the payment of 300 billion dollars in war reparations and an end to hostilities on all fronts, particularly in Lebanon.

Tehran would also demand the withdrawal of US forces from the region, an end to Washington’s cooperation with groups opposed to the Iranian revolution, an end to strikes against Iran and the lifting of the naval blockade of its ports. The final demand concerns recognition of Iranian control over the Strait of Hormuz, which is shared with Oman, according to the Zambian Observer.

Donald Trump reportedly rejected these conditions and could resume bombing as the end of the Israeli elections approaches, according to the same outlet. The statements attributed to Mojtaba Khamenei, like Donald Trump’s response, were not independently verified in the report. The announcement comes as Washington prepares the Gulf for an offensive against Iran after 3 November.
