Ivory Coast’s ambassador to Guinea, Issoufou Coulibaly, gave school kits to several hundred Ivorian and Guinean pupils in N’Zérékoré on Friday, 23 October. The initiative took place during a working visit to the Ivorian honorary consul in the city, according to the Ivorian Press Agency (AIP).
Mr Coulibaly said that support for schooling should contribute to the future of both countries. The honorary consul, Fousseni Diakité, praised an initiative illustrating solidarity between the Ivorian and Guinean communities, according to AIP.
The distribution came a few days after school kits were offered to ten pupils in Conakry by Ciments de Guinée on 19 October. The two initiatives were carried out separately for pupils in Guinea.
