Two hundred and twenty-three contract workers at Senegal’s Ministry of National Education are demanding reinstatement and the annulment of an order dated 22 January 2022. The collective’s representative, Solondrazana Dallia, says their suspensions may be linked to past political disagreements, according to Midi Madagasikara.

The 223 contract workers of Senegal’s Ministry of National Education whose contracts were suspended are demanding reinstatement in their original posts. They are also calling for the annulment of order No. 130/MEN/SG/DRH/SP of 22 January 2022, which they consider unjustified, reports Midi Madagasikara.

Solondrazana Dallia, the representative of the workers’ collective, attributes the situation to past political disagreements. The contract workers had already taken similar action through PF2E workers, who demanded reinstatement on permanent contracts on 19 October, according to an earlier article by our newsroom.
