Guinean MPs unanimously adopted the revenue section of the 2026 supplementary finance bill on Saturday 31 October. The state’s projected resources reached 60,064.47 billion Guinean francs, compared with 55,858.10 billion in the initial budget, an increase of 4,206.37 billion, or 7.53%, according to Guinee360 and Africaguinée.

The general budget accounts for 57,664.90 billion GNF, or 96.01% of the total, while special-purpose budgets account for 2,399.57 billion, or 3.99%. The increase is based in particular on the revision of tax revenues and adjustments to treasury resources, borrowing and state financing mechanisms, according to Guinee360.

The president of the National Assembly, Dr Dansa Kourouma, said MPs could not limit themselves to recording the figures and had to verify their “regularity and accuracy”, Africaguinée reports. The MPs also made several recommendations and called on the government to make the necessary corrections, according to the same outlet.

The government referred this section to the National Assembly on 17 October, according to Africaguinée. The bill was presented on 24 October by the Minister of Economy, Finance and the Budget, Mariama Ciré Sylla, and aims to adapt the forecasts to the economic conditions observed during budget implementation, Guinee360 reports.
