US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is due to travel to Paris from 8 to 10 November 2026 to attend the G7 foreign ministers' meeting. The talks are expected to focus in particular on Ukraine, the Middle East and energy security, according to the US State Department.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is due to attend a G7 foreign ministers' meeting in Paris on 9 and 10 November, under the French presidency. The talks will focus in particular on support for Ukraine, stabilising the Middle East and energy security, according to the US State Department and the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.

France has invited Brazil, Egypt, South Korea, Saudi Arabia and Ukraine to certain parts of the meeting. A donors' conference is also scheduled for 9 November to finance the restoration of the Chernobyl confinement arch, damaged by a Russian strike in 2025, according to the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.

The ministers are also due to examine humanitarian aid, maritime transport security, the fight against drug trafficking and risks linked to artificial intelligence. The G7+ port cooperation network, announced at the Évian summit, will simultaneously hold its first meeting in Marseille, according to French authorities.

The ministerial meeting was initially due to be held in Marseille before being moved to Paris because of logistical and operational constraints linked to the organisation of the G7, according to French authorities.
