The Congo Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority has activated short number 1515 to contact all mobile operators' customer services. Available nationwide since 30 October, the number complements existing lines, according to a statement signed by its chairman, Christian Katende.

The Congo Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (ARPTC) has activated the single short number “1515” to access the customer services of all mobile phone operators in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, as of 30 October 2026, according to a statement signed by Christian Katende, chairman of the ARPTC board.

The number is intended to make it easier for subscribers to contact their operator with requests for assistance and complaints, particularly those related to service quality. The short numbers previously used by each operator remain operational, the ARPTC said, asking telecommunications companies to widely disseminate the information and ensure that the system functions.

The launch follows consumer complaints about service quality and the handling of their complaints. It complements the Congolese LOBA platform for reporting consumer abuses, launched on 5 October 2026 to collect such reports.
