Former pupils of Ouenzé mixed primary school in Brazzaville presented school supplies to their former school on Tuesday 27 October 2026. Brought together in an association, they donated exercise books, pens, rulers, pencils and backpacks, La Semaine Africaine reports.
The kits are intended to ease families’ expenses and support pupils’ learning conditions. The association’s representative, Doris Adampot, described the donation as a first act of solidarity and gratitude towards the school, where the former pupils had studied 50 years earlier. The school’s management welcomed the contribution to the fight against educational hardship.
The reunion was also an opportunity for the former pupils to sing and dance in the courtyard. The school’s management also asked for their help to repair a roof damaged by balls, which lets water in and disrupts lessons, according to La Semaine Africaine.
