The Republic of the Congo celebrated the 81st anniversary of the United Nations (UN) in Brazzaville on Saturday 31 October, at a meeting attended by Congolese officials, diplomatic missions, private-sector representatives and civil society representatives. Discussions focused on results achieved in 2025 and priorities for cooperation between the Congo and the UN, according to Brazza-Infos.
Participants discussed, among other things, technical support, humanitarian assistance and institutional support provided to the population. The next joint cooperation framework for 2027-2031 is expected to direct interventions towards community resilience, prevention, youth employment, public health and resource management.
The meeting was held three days after the Congo and the UN approved the 2027-2031 cooperation framework on 28 October. It extends discussions on the partnership’s priorities, which the two sides also examined that day.
