Nigerian industrialist Aliko Dangote will open the Invest Ghana Summit 2026 with Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama on 16 and 17 November in Accra, according to 3News. Mahama is then expected to present the government’s priorities on production and exports ahead of the “New Economy” economic programme planned for 2027-2030.

The summit will bring together Ghana’s ministries of Trade, Agriculture and Industry, Foreign Affairs and Finance, as well as the Bank of Ghana and several public agencies. Its programme includes a space bringing together 19 agencies to facilitate procedures related to business registration, taxation, immigration and regulatory approvals, according to organisers cited by 3News.

Several projects seeking capital will be presented, including the Buipe solar and battery storage project, valued at $1.46 billion, the Accra-Tema motorway extension and the eastern railway line. Simon Madjie, chief executive of the Ghana Investment Promotion Authority, believes Dangote’s participation should fuel discussions on manufacturing and regional trade, 3News reports.
