Participants in the 6th edition of AgroConnect, a summit bringing together Turkish and African agrifood and industry stakeholders, agreed to put new technologies at the heart of African agribusiness development. The meeting was held from 2 to 6 November 2026 in Istanbul, Turkey, according to Ivoire Actu.
Discussions covered precision farming, the digitalisation of marketing channels, artificial intelligence to anticipate yields and risks, as well as processing and preservation solutions adapted to local contexts. Several African ministers called for knowledge transfer and targeted investment, while Turkish counterparts presented their experience in agribusiness and mechanisation, Ivoire Actu reports.
Participants now want to turn these priorities into concrete actions to modernise value chains, improve productivity and strengthen the competitiveness of African sectors in the face of climate, demographic and economic challenges, according to Ivoire Actu.
