Algeria's Ministry of Public Works is continuing road modernisation and maintenance operations in 12 wilayas under the 2026 programme. In Bordj Badji Mokhtar, the modernisation of 30 km of the RN 6 is under way, while reinforcement of the RN 111 in El Bayadh is more than 50% complete, according to the ministry.

Modernisation and maintenance work on Algeria's road network is continuing in twelve wilayas, including Bordj Badji Mokhtar, El Bayadh, Bouira, M'Sila, Mesaad, Tébessa, Tindouf, Oum El Bouaghi, Aïn Témouchent, Batna, Boussaâda and El M'Ghair, according to a statement from the Ministry of Public Works. The operations are part of the 2026 programme.

In Bordj Badji Mokhtar, modernisation of National Road No. 6 (RN 6), which links the provincial capital to Timiaouine over 150 km, is continuing. Lot No. 2 covers a 30-km section, from kilometre point 2013 to point 2043, handled by the National Public Works Company (SNTP) and currently at the stage of laying the gravel-bitumen base course. In El Bayadh wilaya, reinforcement of the RN 111 towards Tiaret is more than 50% complete, with 5.5 km completed out of the project's 10.5 km.

In Bouira, teams are working on the modernisation of Wilaya Road No. 93 (CW 93) over 20 km, crossing the municipalities of Lakhdaria, Maala and Zbarbar. In Mesaad, tarring of the road linking the borders of Laghouat wilaya to those of Ouled Djellal has resumed on a 50-km section serving the localities of Ghamameur, Oum El Khecheb and Oum El Adhaim. In Tébessa, construction of the communal road linking Ghibar Oum Khaled to Tlidjène (25 km) is continuing, alongside the development of 8.6 km of access tracks in the Stah Guentis area.

In Tindouf, the operation involves maintenance and renewal of horizontal markings on the RN 50, on the section leading to the village of Hassi Khebi via the municipality of Oum El Assel. In Oum El Bouaghi, rehabilitation of CW 08 has been commissioned on a 9-km section, from kilometre point 24+600 to point 33+600.

This new wave of roadworks follows the 56 road projects delivered and 39 worksites launched announced on 31 October, after the roadworks launched in eight wilayas on 24 October.
