Secondary school teachers in Mozambique’s Zambézia province were trained on digital risks and data protection during a session in Quelimane. The Digital Transformation and Innovation Agency initiative aims to strengthen cybersecurity practices in schools, according to the Mozambique Information Agency.

Teachers from secondary schools in Mozambique’s Zambézia province took part in an awareness session on good cybersecurity practices organised in Quelimane by the Digital Transformation and Innovation Agency (ATDI), according to the Mozambique Information Agency. The training covered, in particular, risks linked to computer systems, professional emails and other digital tools.

Participants were trained to identify risky situations, prevent computer incidents and protect data. ATDI thus aims to strengthen a culture of digital security in schools, as the Mozambican government makes digitalisation a pillar of public administration modernisation and service improvement, according to the agency.
