Esther Orighomisan Okotie-Eboh, Director-General of FOOG Women Support for Tinubu, has called on Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027. She asked opponents to present concrete and measurable alternative policies rather than limit their criticism to the government’s record, Vanguard reports.

Chief (Mrs) Esther Orighomisan Okotie-Eboh, Director-General of FOOG Women Support for Tinubu, has called on Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027. She asked opponents of the government to present credible alternatives and explain concretely how their policies would improve citizens’ lives, according to Vanguard.

Okotie-Eboh said opponents should provide at least five to 10 clear reasons for rejecting Tinubu’s programmes, as well as measurable commitments and workable solutions. She also called for the president’s record to be assessed based on current economic difficulties and governance challenges, rather than through direct comparison with previous administrations.

The head of FOOG Women Support for Tinubu compared governance with building a house, which she said requires a solid foundation and a precise plan. She argued that the government should be given enough time to implement its policies and fulfil its promises, citing the need for sustained efforts to achieve lasting results.

The call comes after recent positions on the 2027 presidential election, including Bola Tinubu’s accusation against the opposition on 24 October and the Kaduna APC’s call for Atiku Abubakar to withdraw his candidacy on 27 October. It also follows Phrank Shaibu’s criticism of the handling of the cost-of-living crisis on 26 October.
