The APC presidential campaign council accuses the ADC of failing to pay its employees for more than a year and urges voters to reject the party and its candidate, Atiku Abubakar, in 2027. The ADC denounces this as a diversion from economic difficulties and insecurity, Punch reports.

The presidential campaign council of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the party of Nigerian President Bola Tinubu, accuses the African Democratic Congress (ADC) of failing to pay its employees for more than twelve months. It called on voters on Monday to reject the ADC and its candidate in the 2027 presidential election, Atiku Abubakar, according to a statement by its spokesperson Dele Alake, Minister of Solid Minerals Development, reported by Punch.

The APC is targeting the ADC’s national executive committee, led by former Senate President David Mark and former Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola. Dele Alake says a party unable to pay its employees cannot be entrusted with governing Nigeria. He also accuses Atiku Abubakar’s companies, including Gotel Communication, of accumulating delays in paying wages and benefits.

The ADC responds that the APC is seeking to divert attention from the economic difficulties and insecurity affecting Nigerians under Bola Tinubu’s presidency, according to Punch.
