A memorandum is expected to cover joint training and skills-sharing in hospitality and tourism, following discussions in Nairobi, according to the two institutions.
Uganda’s Hotel and Tourism Training College (HTTC), based in Jinja, and Kenya Utalii College (KUC), a Kenyan institution specialising in tourism and hospitality training, are preparing a cooperation agreement providing for student and staff exchanges. The announcement follows a visit to Nairobi by an HTTC delegation, according to PML Daily.
The proposed memorandum of understanding is intended to provide a framework for joint learning initiatives, professional development and knowledge-sharing. Student leaders at both institutions also discussed cooperation between their communities, designed to expose learners to different training environments, professional practices and cultural experiences, according to PML Daily.
The cooperation follows discussions between Uganda and Ghana on tourism and trade partnerships, announced on 28 October 2026 by Uganda and Ghana.
