The DMK, DMP, LDP and Touche pas à ma Constitution movement are calling for activities to be suspended on 20 November 2026 in Togo. The mobilisation is to bring together workers, traders, transporters and other occupational groups, according to the statement issued in Lomé on 6 November.

The Dynamique Monseigneur Kpodzro (DMK), Dynamique pour la majorité du peuple (DMP), Lumière pour le développement dans la paix (LDP) and Touche pas à ma Constitution movement formally issued their call on Friday 6 November in Lomé for a day of activities stoppage on 20 November. The organisations are inviting public- and private-sector workers, traders, transporters, artisans, students and farmers to suspend their activities, according to their opening statement reported by 24 Heure Info.

The four organisations are also asking the trade union centres CGT, CNTT, GSA, UGSL, UNFRT, UNSIT and SYNPHOT to join the mobilisation. They cite the cost of living, electricity cuts, access to drinking water and basic social services, as well as restrictions they say are imposed on trade unions and civil society, according to the same statement.

The formalisation comes after the announcement on 5 October of a mobilisation on 20 November 2026. It also comes a few days after the opposition called for an audit of CEET over power cuts on 30 October.
