Three schools in Conakry have benefited from new infrastructure, with the Coronthie school fully built and the Coléah and Boubinet 2 schools renovated, according to Africaguinée. The works and a book distribution campaign were funded by the Authority for Regulation of Games and Related Practices (ARSJPA).
A guided tour of the schools was organised on 3 November 2026 in the presence of education officials, school supervisors and community representatives, reports Africaguinée. In Coronthie, in the Kaloum commune, municipal education director Ibrahim Yattara said the school met a demand made by residents since 1958, whose children previously had to cross a major road to reach other schools.
The Coronthie school has 24 classrooms and 793 pupils, including 486 girls, according to its director Lansana Camara. It also has a library, a computer room, a teachers’ meeting room, administrative offices, a sick bay, a canteen and a basketball court.
